Controlling Your Fear of the Unknown

Controlling your fear of the unknown is all about controlling your psychology, emotions & perception of fear. 

Fear is in the unknown.  
Once you know this to your core, fear becomes confidence. 

Time & patience wins. Time to learn, patience to grow. 

The Bible say in Proverbs 4:5-9,  

Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. 

That dream you have is possible. But you must know within yourself that this is the truth and the only truth you are willing to accept in your life. You won’t receive confirmation of this from anyone else. YOU must believe the harder you go after your dream, the more time you spend on achieving that dream, you will reach it. Despite the naysayers, despite what others around you are doing or believing; it’s your dream and only YOU can make it a reality.  

Handling When Things Go Wrong 

Things can & will go wrong. You will have those so-called failures. But this is where the challenge is. What will you do with it? You can give up, or you can learn from it. This is the moment that God has given you to create your own destiny. What will you do with it? That moment that seems to be the end is the moment you hold the key to winning & controlling your fear of the unknown.  

This is when you will see God move in your life. When you step into the unknown, fearlessly. You don’t know what comes next, but because you take the steps, you’ve put your faith in Him.  

Surround yourself with those that are for you and share the same values you do. Those who say, yes, I can win. I can overcome my fears. Don’t allow the weight of other fears to hold you down because you don’t have to share their opinions of life, or of what you can accomplish. There are those who will live within comfort & hide due to fear of what could go wrong. Because they are unwilling to suffer the pain of failure, they will live a life not knowing they are missing the very lessons of life that will make them greater.  

You Can Have Faith Greater Than Peter! 

When Peter walked to Jesus on the water, he said, “Lord, if its you, tell me to come out to you” and the Lord called to him. “Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me! Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Matt 14:22-33  

You have been called to use your gift & present it to the Lord. Therefore, you must step out of the security of the boat & with a foundation on Him, the Living Water, go forward. Because the winds will blow, but if you firmly believe He is with you, you will not sink, you will not be overcome by fear. Fear fears Him.  

It’s not normal or what everyone does. Because it’s above average.  

It’s not that everyone can’t do it, but that everyone won’t do it.  

Day in, day out, the only way you will reach the goals of your journey and overcome the fear of the unknown is to suffer the pain, until there is no pain that you can’t take. Whatever that pain may be; financial, physical, mental. Only you can decide how much you allow them to control you, to hurt you. Likewise, above all, focus on being a better you and you can begin controlling your fear of the unknown.
